A major non-profit owner/operator of affordable multifamily housing commissioned through Nova the installation of 13 new boilers and associated controls and distribution. Following the site investigation and corrective action phase, the owner engaged Nova to create a building operator manual. The manual details critical operational settings and sequences, troubleshooting guides, and warranty and startup information. The manual itself was used as the basis for a full day of on-site training on the new equipment systems.
In the case of staff turnover and/or a large management company, this documentation and training are intended to increase institutional memory and reduce the negative impact of turnover on energy savings.
