Joannie Hennen
SVP, Human Resources
Joannie is our Senior Vice President, Human Resources with more than 15 years’ experience in Human Resources and is credited with enhancing many HR functions, including leadership development, HR system management, benefits administration, performance management best practices, policies and compliance, talent acquisition management, amongst many more. By embracing Nova’s culture and company vision, Joannie is a great voice in our community as we continue to build and grow the Nova Group community and work towards enhancing all things HR. In her free time, Joannie enjoys the outdoors spending many weekends camping and ATV trail riding with family and friends, spends many nights and weekends supporting her two children’s sports activities (volleyball, softball, baseball, football, and wrestling), and also volunteers in the community.

Michael Lang
Project Manager
Michael has over five years of experience conducting environmental investigations and property assessments. He has performed numerous Phase I Environmental Site Assessments at multifamily residential, commercial, automotive repair and fueling facilities, and various industrial/manufacturing facilities. He is OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER-certified and has managed numerous Phase II Subsurface Investigations, including overseeing drilling, collection of soil/groundwater samples, and underground storage tank (UST) closure and removal projects. He is also a Steel Tank Institute SP-001 Certified Aboveground Storage Tank Inspector. Michael graduated from Virginia Tech in 2012, and obtained a Bachelor of Science in Fisheries/Environmental Science. He is an outdoor enthusiast who is inspired by nature and driven by adventure. You can find him hiking and mountain biking or searching for new fishing spots on the weekends.
