Affordable Housing Valuation Leader Expands Firm's Presence Across the Western United States

Nova Group, GBC is pleased to announce that Krista Castro has joined the firm's Valuation & Advisory team as Vice President, Western Region Affordable Housing Leader. Based in Sacramento, California, Krista will focus on expanding Nova's affordable housing valuation and advisory services throughout the Western United States.

With more than 25 years of appraisal experience, Krista brings extensive expertise in the valuation of affordable housing properties. Her experience includes appraisals of existing and proposed affordable housing developments, acquisition and rehabilitation projects, and properties with Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC), HUD, USDA, and local agency rent restriction components. She has worked with a broad range of clients, including lenders, investors, developers, housing authorities, and public-sector agencies.

In her role, Krista will provide valuation, consulting, and advisory services for affordable housing properties while collaborating with Nova's nationwide team of valuation professionals to support clients across the real estate lifecycle. Her addition further enhances Nova's growing national Valuation & Advisory platform and reinforces the firm's commitment to delivering specialized expertise in complex property sectors.

Krista is a Certified General Real Estate Appraiser in California, Oregon, Washington, and Nevada. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Managerial Economics from the University of California, Davis.
