BREEAM Logo

BREEAM is the world's leading science-based suite of validation and certification standards for the sustainable built environment. Since 1990, its third-party certified standards have helped improve asset performance at every stage, from design through construction to use and refurbishment.

BRE Logo

The BREEAM certification is owned and delivered by BRE, a world-leading, multi-disciplinary building science center with a mission to improve buildings and infrastructure through cutting-edge research and knowledge generation. BRE maintains a range of products, services, standards, and qualifications that are used around the world to bring about positive change in the built environment.

A Licensed BREEAM Assessor is an individual with the training, experience, and authority to register and competently undertake the assessment and certification of projects/assets through the BREEAM platform. They are responsible for managing the assessment process and validating a project's compliance against BREEAM. They coordinate the collection of information (or evidence), which will be used to evaluate the project/asset against the relevant criteria.

"As the number of BREEAM-certified assets across the U.S. continues to grow exponentially, it is critical that our network of reliable, informed, and experienced Assessors grows in tandem to support clients in delivering more sustainable, healthy, and resilient assets," said Breana Wheeler, Director of Operations at BREEAM USA, part of the BRE Group. "At BREEAM, the reliability of our Assessors is imperative in upholding the credibility of the BREEAM assessment to ensure certification outcomes are robust and consistent with platform standards, and we look forward to continuing our work with the skilled team of Assessors at Nova Group as we pave the way toward a more sustainable commercial real estate industry in 2024 and beyond."

As the largest BREEAM In-Use assessor organization in the U.S., Nova is well-positioned to support businesses, property owners, and organizations in enhancing the sustainability of their existing structures. The company's experienced assessors bring a wealth of knowledge and a proven track record in delivering high-quality assessments that align with BREEAM standards.

Nova also supports BREEAM assessments in Europe through our Nova Ambiente offices.

Nova Group, GBC looks forward to continuing its mission of promoting sustainable practices and contributing to a more environmentally conscious built environment.
