Senior Project Manager
Construction Services Group

Remote Location: Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, and other major metro areas

Job Description

Construction Services Senior Project Managers (SPM) at Nova Group, GBC are primarily responsible for performing Construction Loan Monitoring (CLM) services - monthly pay application requests, inspection/reporting/reviews, and completing up-front construction document reports and reviews while managing their assigned multiple projects and Clients. Our Construction Services experts may also conduct periodic site visits to monitor the progress of construction and review the status and scope of work completed for our Clients. SPM will be responsible for preparing project status reports and recommending the release of construction funds, document checklist reviews, and personnel management. Construction Services team members may also build skill sets providing the opportunity to broaden and deepen their resumes by conducting Property Condition Assessment inspections and by participating in environmental due diligence projects. This role is at the core of our Construction Services team and accountable for facilitating quality deliverables to our clients and exceeding their expectations along the way.

The SPM position is expected to be based out of a home office with occasional travel involved for marketing and meetings at U.S. locations. Therefore, qualified candidates must possess attributes that prove they can manage themselves remotely and be accountable to multiple, remote stakeholders for delivery of time-critical projects. These attributes are required for success in this role.

Experience Required
  • 10 years of experience in Civil Engineering, Architecture or Architectural Engineering, Construction Management.

  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture, civil engineering, or construction-related fields.

  • Professional Engineer (PE), Resident Architect (RA), or Fundamentals of Engineer (FE) on track for Professional Engineer’s License or Resident Architect’s License (RA or AIA).

  • Knowledge of building components, building systems, construction documents, and cost estimating.

  • Familiarity with/exposure to Construction or On-site construction work strongly preferred.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet multiple deadlines. 

  • Strong Organizational, Managerial, Client skills, and project financial management background.

  • Communication & Marketing abilities used during project site work interviews.

  • Strong technical writing & reviewing skills and proven attention to detail.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Google.

  • Comfort level using mobile technology and open to new technological project solutions.

  • Valid state driver’s license (position requires motor vehicle record & background check).

  • Ability to meet annual medical monitoring requirements.

  • Travel Requirements: Field work may require travel between 10-15% of the work week in your area, as well as occasional trips throughout the US to support national needs. 

  • Physical Demands: Ability to physically navigate site properties in various weather conditions and the ability to climb a ladder (if necessary).
