Erica Butler, MAI

Erica Butler, MAI, serves as Managing Director of Valuation & Advisory at Nova Group, GBC, leading valuation services throughout the Carolinas and supporting clients nationwide. With more than 15 years of commercial real estate valuation and consulting experience, Erica specializes in the appraisal of a wide range of asset types, including multifamily, retail, industrial, office, mixed-use, land, self-storage, hotels, regional malls, convenience stores, car washes, golf courses, and other specialty properties.

Throughout her career, Erica has provided valuation and consulting services for a diverse client base, including national and regional banks, CMBS lenders and special servicers, insurance companies, REITs, investment funds, developers, municipalities, attorneys, agency lenders, and private owners. Her expertise spans complex valuation assignments and strategic advisory services that help clients make informed real estate decisions.

Erica holds the prestigious MAI designation from the Appraisal Institute and is a Certified General Appraiser in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communications Studies from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

A recognized leader within the appraisal profession, Erica was honored with the 2024 William T. Anglyn Award from the Appraisal Institute and currently serves as President-Elect of the North Carolina Chapter of the Appraisal Institute.
