Job Description and Requirementss
Carlson Environmental, a Nova Group GBC Company (Carlson) is seeking junior-level candidates with one to three years of environmental due diligence experience in the environmental consulting field. Candidates must have had previous experience conducting and writing Phase I Environmental Site Assessments, and experience with Phase II Subsurface Investigations & remedial oversight. Experience and certifications in asbestos are a plus. Candidates should be local to the Chicago area and should be self-motivated, well-organized, collaborative, and able to work on multiple projects at the same time. This is a hybrid position encompassing a combination of working remotely, working in our office, and working in the field.
Reqiured Experience and Qualifications
Successful candidates will be required to have:

Experience performing and writing Phase I Environmental Site Assessments

Experience assisting with Phase II Subsurface Investigations

Experience providing remedial / subcontractor oversight

The ability to multi-task on various projects simultaneously

Good attention to detail
-
Excellent computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)

Valid driver’s license

Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
Responsibilities

Conduct site visits for and prepare Phase I Environmental Site Assessments

Conduct fieldwork for Phase II Subsurface Investigations

Conduct field oversight for various subcontracted services
