
Staff Accountant I
Accounting
Full-Time - 40 Hours/Week
Location: Minneapolis (St. Louis Park), MN - Remote Hybrid Opportunity
Job Description

Manages general Accounting Inbox for general inquires, Invoice submissions, Work Orders, Payment status inquires, etc.
-
Request Invoice approvals, W-9s, Work Orders, when needed to process payable invoices to comply with financial policies and procedures from project management and/or contractors

Daily data entry of payable invoices

Assist with by-weekly Payables Check Run
-
Audit Employee Expense Reports by-weekly
-
Reconcile monthly accounts payable statements received and follow through with missing invoices

Manage PT Notifications Inbox and issue project numbers as proposals are executed (daily/hourly)

Special projects as assigned
-
Back-up for other accounting team members when needed
Requirements

Attention to detail and accuracy

Strong organizational skills

Ability to communicate effectively, both internally and externally

Ability to meet deadlines with occasional overtime required to do so

Ability to work both independently and within the team on routine processes and projects

Ability to work in a fast pace, high volume atmosphere

Associate’s degree and/or accounting experience
-
Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains accounting software experience preferred, but not required
-
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams
-
PC and 10 key skills required
-
Satisfactory driver’s license record
Physical Demands

Requires long hours of sitting and using office equipment and computers, including repetitive movement of the hands, which can cause muscle strain

The position may also have to do some lifting of supplies and materials from time to time
