Project Manager - Energy Auditor

Job Description

Nova  Group, GBC is currently seeking qualified candidates to conduct Energy Audits in accordance with ASHRAE, local, state, and federal regulations. These inspections require an on-site physical inspection and field documentation of commercial and multi-family residential building systems. This position requires the ability and willingness to perform field inspections and to travel to applicable project sites throughout the United States. Candidates chosen for this position will perform the required tasks under direct mentorship from qualified Engineers and Architects. This position offers career growth after successful mastery of skillset and minimum experience with mentorship has been completed to include Construction Loan Monitoring and Property Condition Assessments.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • College degree in mechanical engineering or hold a current energy auditing certification such as the AEE Certified Energy Auditor, Certified Energy Manager, or BPI Analyst or Multifamily Analyst

  • Experience conducting a minimum of 5 ASHRAE energy audits on multifamily properties preferred

  • Applicant must be willing to travel up to 50% of the time (local and nationwide), with the ability to travel on short notice (one week or less), and occasionally work nights and weekends

  • Aptitude for technical writing skills

  • Attention to detail

  • Ability to multi-task in conjunction with multiple project assignments and meet deadlines

  • Current, valid state driver’s license (position requires an acceptable motor vehicle record history)

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs

  • PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Ability to climb a ladder

PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED:
  • Experience conducting blower door and duct leakage testing

  • Ability to do combustion efficiency testing

  • HERs Rater

  • Experience with modeling software such as eQuest, EnergyPro, TREAT or other whole building energy simulation programs
