Job Description

The Nova Group, GBC HR Generalist will be responsible for performing a broad range of HR and Administrative duties. Position is responsible for interfacing & problem solving with leadership, co-workers and employment candidates providing broad HR administrative and transactional support.

Responsibilities
  • Manage ADP HRIS System from a set up and overall system management perspective

  • Back up to primary individual responsible to process payroll on bi-weekly basis

  • Provide day to day HR support to leadership and employee base, including: recruitment, on-boarding, management, performance management and employee engagement and retention.

  • Partner with Candidate Sourcing /Talent Acquisition to develop sourcing strategies, candidate capture strategies; back up to Recruiting Director during times of heavy staff needs

  • Perform all HR transactions, including onboarding, regular and ad hoc reporting, and other data validation or reporting exercises

  • Assist with creation, planning and logistics of on-site employee engagement activities and training events

  • Work on special projects as assigned

  • Partner closely with leadership on a variety of responsibilities and initiatives.

  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance

  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law

  • Responsible for employee Communications and Announcements

  • Execute employment and benefit verifications

  • Responsible for responding to audit requests

  • Provide assistance to employees on HR  questions

  • Utilize critical thinking skills to streamline and find resolutions

  • Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation

Qualifications/Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.

  • 4+ years as an HR Generalist

  • Experience with HRIS required; ADP HRIS strongly preferred

  • Extremely flexible, highly organized, and able to easily shift priorities

  • Must be approachable and able to earn trust and credibility with employees in the organization

  • Highly resourceful and organized with exceptional follow-through and attention to detail

  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines

  • Exceptional communication skills, with the professional savvy of communicating at all levels

  • Proactive and ability to work independently

  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
