Job Description

Construction Services Project Managers at Nova Group, GBC are primarily responsible to perform Construction Loan Monitoring (CLM) services, site visits, incorporating up-front construction document reviews and monthly pay application request inspection/reporting. Our Construction Services experts conduct periodic site visits to monitor the progress of construction and to review the status and scope of work completed. Eventually you will be responsible to prepare project status reports and recommend the release of construction funds. In addition, many Construction Services team members also build skills to conduct Property Condition Assessment inspections. Providing the opportunity to broaden and deepen their resumes by building their knowledge of environmental advising projects. This role is a core member of our Construction Services team producing quality deliverables to our clients, exceeding their expectations along the way.

This position is expected to be based out of a home office in the candidate’s region with travel as indicated below. Therefore, qualified candidates must possess attributes that prove they can manage themselves remotely and be accountable to multiple, remote stakeholders for delivery of time-critical projects. These are unique attributes that do not allow every person to succeed.

Experience Required
  • 5-10 years of experience in Civil Engineering, Construction Services, Architecture or Architectural Engineering

  • Background or Bachelor’s degree in architecture, civil engineering, or construction-related field is preferred

  • Knowledge of building components, systems and cost estimating with RS Means, Marshall/Swift and historical data usage

  • Fundamentals of Engineering (FE/EIT), or on track for Professional Engineer’s License or Resident Architect’s License (RA or AIA) preferred

  • Familiarity with/exposure to Construction or On-site construction work strongly preferred

  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines 

  • Strong technical writing skills and proven attention to detail

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Google and Construction Service Platforms

  • Comfort using mobile technology and open to new technological solutions

  • Valid state driver’s license (position requires motor vehicle record & background check)

  • Ability to meet annual medical monitoring requirements

  • Travel Requirements: Field work will require travel between 30-50%, primarily throughout your region as well as occasional trips throughout the US to support the group’s national needs.

  • Physical Demands: Ability to physically navigate site properties in various weather conditions and the ability to climb a ladder if necessary
