Job Description
Construction Services Associate Project Managers at Nova Group, GBC are primarily responsible of performing Construction Loan Monitoring (CLM) services, completing up-front construction document reports and reviews as well as monthly pay application request inspection/reporting. Our Construction Services experts conduct periodic site visits to monitor the progress of construction and to review the status and scope of work completed for our Clients. Eventually, you will be responsible to prepare project status reports and recommend the release of construction funds. In addition, Construction Services team members may also build skill sets by conducting Property Condition Assessment inspections. Providing the opportunity to broaden and deepen their resumes by building their knowledge through environmental due diligence projects. This role is at the core of our Construction Services team, by facilitating quality deliverables to our clients and exceeding their expectations along the way.
This position is expected to be based out of a home office with occasional meetings in Nova’s New York/New Jersey office locations. Therefore, qualified candidates must possess attributes that prove they can manage themselves remotely and be accountable to multiple, remote stakeholders for delivery of time-critical projects. These are unique attributes greatly valued for the success of this role.
Experience/Attributes Required

1-3 years of experience in Civil Engineering, Architecture or Architectural Engineering.

Bachelor’s degree in architecture, civil engineering, or construction-related fields.

Knowledge of building components, building systems and cost estimating.

Fundamentals of Engineering (FE/EIT), or on track for Professional Engineer’s License or Resident Architect’s License (RA or AIA).

Familiarity with/exposure to Construction or On-site construction work strongly preferred.

Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Keen communication skills that can be leveraged during project site work interviews.

Strong technical writing skills and proven attention to detail.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Google.

Comfort level using mobile technology and open to new technological solutions.

Valid state driver’s license (position requires motor vehicle record & background check).

Ability to meet annual medical monitoring requirements.

Travel Requirements: Field work may require travel between 50-75% of the work week, primarily throughout New York & New Jersey as well as occasional trips throughout the US to support national needs.

Physical Demands: Ability to physically navigate site properties in various weather conditions and the ability to climb a ladder.
